Here are a few of my favourite snaps from Natasha and Richard’s wedding in St Giles House , Wimborne, Dorset. A flipping ace venue with so much character and charm. I’ve been before to a winter wedding at St Giles House so I was familiar with the lay of the land. But it was especially nice to visit in the springtime. The grounds were at their greenest and looked resplendent! Natasha and Richard’s wedding was memorable because they drove a massive motorbike from Alaska (more on that later!) Natasha and Richard’s wedding was a day full of laughter, fun and drinks outside in the sunshine. It was a gorgeous day and I took a mental snapshot to remind myself how amazing my job is. Their wedding breakfast was served in the gardens of St Giles House thanks to events superstars Alastair Currie Events. the ceremony felt very intimate and took place in the church a stones throw away.  It is no secret that destination weddings are on the rise. In fact, according to a recent survey, more than 50% of couples said they would consider getting married somewhere other than their hometown.  One of the good things to come from a quiet time of year is that I finally have time to catch up on my blogging! Today we’re heading back to Jacky & David’s wedding. They got married at St Mary’s Church before heading on to Southend Barns wedding venue. They lucked out with a beautiful day in August which ended with the prettiest of sunsets. It was my first time at Southend Barns although Jacky and Dave found me through a recommendation from this wedding at Upwaltham Barns. Not only did they have a fab Cadillac wedding car their little dog attended the wedding ceremony. Looking at these wedding photos now quickly brings back all the memories of the day. The guys smoking cigars, playing law games, eating amazing food (and cake!) Whilst ‘at work’ I’m always trying to find unique wedding photos and I struck gold! Caroline and Duncan’s wedding in Kings College Chapel Cambridge was incredible. I have so many great memories from such an amazing day. Kings College Chapel is visually spectacular! I travelled up a few weeks ago to photograph Caroline and Duncan’s wedding on a hot July day. After photos with the guys in the morning I headed to meet Caroline at The Hilton. If you’re wondering she wore a Justin Alexander gown and Jimmy Choo shoes. Halfway through the beautifying process with Jimmy Bilton at Toni & Guy, flowers arrived from Mulberry Flowers. Kings College was in walking distance from the Hotel so I hot footed it through the busy streets and entered the quietness of the ceremony venue. It’s hard not to be incredibly impressed by the scale of Kings College. It’s on another level and made an incredible venue for the intimate ceremony.

 I’ve been to Surrey quite a few times in the last month. You’ve seen the Northbrook Park wedding – now check out Louisa and Jeremy’s big day. I shot Tom and Jennifer’s wedding . They were there. I also shot Amy and Carlo’s wedding. They were there too. As Jeremy and Louisa live down-under I wasn’t too sure what to expect but I knew (based on their friends weddings) that it would really be a lot of fun. I’m not going to talk too much about their day (hopefully the photos will do that) – but I’m really happy to be adding them to the website – quite a few will make it to my wedding portfolio – I’m really quite pleased with them.  A little while ago I headed to Richmond Park with Ali and Andrew for a London couple photoshoot . Other than their own charming selves they bought balloons as an accessory! On our walk we got lost, took photos, avoided deer and dodged a few rain clouds. The adventurous life I lead… Richmond park is always a beautiful place to be, and whilst it was pretty cloudy I love the feel of these photos. Out of all of the London Parks I think I prefer Richmond. I do mention it in my favourite pre wedding spots of London and it’s one of the few parks that ‘can’t’ get crowded. Whilst there are always lots of people around you can always find a few quiet spots to take some cute photos. Also, there are wild deer. So, that pretty much trumps all the other parks! You also have the building of Pembroke Lodge and so, as well as the wildness of the area you have some interesting gardens to wander around.

A pre-wedding shoot intends to capture some natural moments, chemistry, expressions, and real emotions that area unit among the couple in lovely backdrops. The pre-wedding photoshoot is finished at a location that fulfills all the weather needed for a shoot. the foremost in style and customary public place for pre-wedding shoots in london . As I do quite a few pre wedding shoots in London I often get asked about the perfect locations. Well, to start with I’m going to talk a little about the timing. Last time I googled London has a population of just over 8 MILLION people. That’s a lot. Not to mention the tourists which flood the streets in the summer and autumn… So timing plays a part on pre wedding shoots. With sunrise and sunset being the best times – or the quietest times with the best light. I tend to schedule London pre wedding shoots for week days, because as you might imagine the weekends are chaotic. With that in mind here are my top 10 locations for London pre wedding shoots.

They got married just outside of Bath and it was happiest of wedding days and quite a bit sunnier than their couple shoot. Whilst Clifton always tends to look lovely in sun or cloud we managed to dodge some rain showers and find some new spots I’ve not been to before. As well as some old favourites. It was great to see quite a few of these photographs at Jenna and Dan’s wedding. They had printed them out and displayed them in the guest book.  My first La Cabane Beach Club wedding and it was a scorcher! Megan and Gary decided on a wedding in Marbella because it’s a place they spend a lot of time. It’s a really beautiful part of Spain and the travel happily coincided with my Mas Torroella wedding photography in the North of Spain. The day started out at the 5 star Hotel Los Monteros where Megan and Gary both got ready. Megan wore a Kate Fearnley veil. The ceremony was held at Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación. It is a church like no other I have visited! Whilst the architecture inspires a serious atmosphere the priest was extremely friendly and welcoming. There were plenty of laughs during the ceremony and it was great to photograph. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the ceremony although I shouldn’t have worried as it followed a pretty traditional catholic mass. 

 A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be Alessia and Chris’s MC Motors wedding photographer It was such a fun wedding day. My favourite moment of the day was at about 10pm when a stack of hot pizza arrived for everyone to feast on. Or… it might have been the tasty chicken and chips we had earlier? Or maybe even the wedding donuts and stack of cake? All I know was that I had a blast. I love London weddings. All that I’ve been to have been beautifully unconventional and incredibly personal. It was a pretty special day! I also got to catch up with three other couples whose wedding I’ve photographed. For a change I’ve tried to reduce the amount of photographs in this blog post.  I’d not met Kacey or Tony before, and it was my first time as Dewsall Court wedding photographer . I really had no idea what to expect. I like a surprise so I didn’t ask too many questions about cake cutting or first dances. All I did was turn up early as I had an inkling I’d need some extra time. I won’t write an exhaustive review about Dewsall Court, but suffice to say it is in my list of top 10 venues and I can’t wait to return their next month for another wedding. Kacey and Tony got married outside, I can’t use enough descriptive words about how much I love outdoor weddings. I even got married outside myself – so you know I’m not fibbing! My first time being a Euridge Manor wedding photographer at this new local venue – and wow! It is a stunner! Unlike any other wedding venue, I’ve been to it is dripping with character and amazing architecture.  It looked like an exotic location in Italy from a James Bond film or the ruins of a castle in Indiana Jones! With a huge pond/lake, a hill with a bonfire on top, castle ruins and glamorous rooms to get ready and dine in – it was a wedding photographer’s dream. I had BIG expectations for Kate and Sammi’s wedding and the day blew me away. Working alongside Aaron from Reel Weddings it was fast-paced and full of action. Kate and Sammi had organised two amazing bands for the drinks reception and dancing.   My three favourite things about their wedding day were… The wedding party.  Laura and Ben’s black tie wedding in Goldbrick house was a very classy affair. Right in the centre of Bristol, the family got ready at the Marriott hotel. It was great to see everyone getting ready and it also gave me a chance to slip between all of the rooms and photograph the anticipation in the Bridal suite and guys pulling on socks in the other! It was a lovely atmosphere, lots of banter, nervousness and plenty of excitement. Laura wore a beautiful, classic Nicola Anne England wedding gown complete with Rachel Simpson shoes. I found it really amusing how Laura’s serious preparation kept being interrupted by surprise romantic gifts from Ben. Firstly his brother bought in two dozen red roses. Next up, some cool Lego wedding mementoes and finally some beautiful diamond earrings. It was great to see Laura’s hair and makeup artist Kate Kelvin again. With Autumn in full swing I always like to remind myself of long warm summer nights. Souraya and Alan’s Villa Miani Wedding is the perfect choice! The magnificent historic house overlooks the ancient city of Rome and is surrounded by lush green gardens that slope down towards a dramatic terrace. The perfect choice for a sunset wedding ceremony. Check out those views! Souraya and Alan were joined by family and friends from across the globe. The vibe was incredibly relaxed but also with a middle eastern flair. Souraya looked stunning! Classic elegance, but really natural. After the beautiful ceremony at Villa Miani I had lots of time to take some fantastic photographs in the grounds. It was a lot of fun! Plus the light was gorgeous and made for such a romantic setting. Some of my favourite shots of the day and you can’t beat that light in Italy.
