Hyde Barn photography - Albert Palmer

I’m really lucky to do Hyde Barn photography every year — it’s a really cool little venue in the Cotswolds. Lucy and Gareth’s wedding was one to remember. Their hard work with amazing styling detail really paid off and the beautiful light we had was the icing on the cake. I met these two a few months before the wedding for an engagement shoot and it was great to get to know them a little better before the big day. I was ultra enthusiastic because I love outdoor weddings. I remember feeling pretty nervous about the weather as it can go any way in June! Luckily it seems that keeping everything crossed worked and it was sunny for their outdoor ceremony. Please scroll on down to see my favourites form the day (and Lucy’s amazing dress!) Manor By The Lake Wedding Photography - Albert Palmer

This post has been a long time coming but I’m happy to share some Manor By The Lake wedding photography with you from Emma and Nathan’s wedding. They got married in the spring so it was great to see the blossom was out! Along with friends and family they had their super cute children with them for the day. They obviously made it in to quite a few of the wedding photos, because, as you’ll know although weddings are mainly about the bride and groom family is so so important. Getting to know them as a family before the day was really nice. They had an engagement shoot which turned in to a bit of a family shoot. I’m proud to say that they liked the photos so much that Emma bought her sister and her family a shoot too! I don’t do too many family shoots but I really enjoy them, and especially ahead of the wedding it’s great to hang out and find out what is important to people before the wedding day. Every wedding is different and a big part of my job is figuring out what is meaningful t...

MAY & GENTRY | PEGGY PORSCHEN LONDON | ENGAGEMENT SHOOT

So here is part 2 of May and Gentry’s engagement shoot. You’ve probably seen their Paris engagement shoot (if you haven’t, do head over for a gander!) This time we met in London for a more casual shoot and I was happy to guide them around my favourite London photo locations. We started the engagement shoot at Peggy Porschen for tea and cake. It was a great place to start and grab a sugar fix before heading off and exploring the rest of London. It was actually my first time at Peggy Porschen and it’s such a colourful place I think I’ll be returning in the future! It makes a great backdrop. We Headed to St Paul’s Cathedral, a London University and of course the South Bank for a few photographs by the iconic Big Ben. We finished off at Tower Bridge for a few night time engagement shots which was a first for me. The weather was pretty cloudy, but as always London provided a colourful, vibrant backdrop to the shoot. Not just the shops but the autumnal trees, lights and people! Half wa...
