As I do quite a few pre wedding shoots in London I often get asked about the perfect locations. Well, to start with I’m going to talk a little about the timing. Last time I googled London has a population of just over 8 MILLION people. That’s a lot. Not to mention the tourists which flood the streets in the summer and autumn… So timing plays a part on pre wedding shoots. With sunrise and sunset being the best times – or the quietest times with the best light. I tend to schedule London pre wedding shoots for week days, because as you might imagine the weekends are chaotic. With that in mind here are my top 10 locations for London pre wedding shoots.  Wowee! Seb and Shabs are on the blog today. I did their Northbrook Park wedding photography and after their engagement shoot and Mendhi I had been impatiently waiting for their wedding day. I kept everything crossed for good weather and it paid off! It must have been one of the hottest days of the year – and it was day of moment after moment of photo opportunities. I’m not going to ramble on too much, the photos will do all the talking! But suffice to say, if you dedicate the drinks reception to great food and ‘sports day’ in the gardens – count me in as your wedding photographer! It was a blast. I’ve been lucky enough to visit Surrey five times in the last month. If you’re looking for a great wedding venue then do check out Northbrook Park. It’s a gem!

 I’d not met Kacey or Tony before, and it was my first time as Dewsall Court wedding photographer . I really had no idea what to expect. I like a surprise so I didn’t ask too many questions about cake cutting or first dances. All I did was turn up early as I had an inkling I’d need some extra time. I won’t write an exhaustive review about Dewsall Court, but suffice to say it is in my list of top 10 venues and I can’t wait to return their next month for another wedding. Kacey and Tony got married outside, I can’t use enough descriptive words about how much I love outdoor weddings. I even got married outside myself – so you know I’m not fibbing! But there is just something amazing about an outdoor wedding ceremony. I know it’s tough in the UK what with the whole ‘unpredictable weather’ thing we have going on over here.  Laura and Ben’s black tie wedding in Goldbrick house was a very classy affair. Right in the centre of Bristol, the family got ready at the Marriott hotel. It was great to see everyone getting ready and it also gave me a chance to slip between all of the rooms and photograph the anticipation in the Bridal suite and guys pulling on socks in the other! It was a lovely atmosphere, lots of banter, nervousness and plenty of excitement. Laura wore a beautiful, classic Nicola Anne England wedding gown complete with Rachel Simpson shoes. I found it really amusing how Laura’s serious preparation kept being interrupted by surprise romantic gifts from Ben. Firstly his brother bought in two dozen red roses. Next up, some cool Lego wedding mementoes and finally some beautiful diamond earrings. It was great to see Laura’s hair and makeup artist Kate Kelvin again. With Autumn in full swing I always like to remind myself of long warm summer nights. Souraya and Alan’s Villa Miani Wedding is the perfect choice! The magnificent historic house overlooks the ancient city of Rome and is surrounded by lush green gardens that slope down towards a dramatic terrace. The perfect choice for a sunset wedding ceremony. Check out those views! Souraya and Alan were joined by family and friends from across the globe. The vibe was incredibly relaxed but also with a middle eastern flair. Souraya looked stunning! Classic elegance, but really natural. After the beautiful ceremony at Villa Miani I had lots of time to take some fantastic photographs in the grounds. It was a lot of fun! Plus the light was gorgeous and made for such a romantic setting. Some of my favourite shots of the day and you can’t beat that light in Italy.  I don’t normally do very many family portrait shoots but I jumped at the chance when Gemma and Matt got in touch. I photographed their wedding some time ago and it was great to catch up with their latest edition to the family. I really fancied a new challenge, something other than weddings or couple shoots , but still with great people. It was a great opportunity. A shoot was organised at Ashton court and we spent the best part of an hour playing around. Jorga was an absolute darling and pulled some great little expressions which totally made the photos.
