Laura and Ben’s Wedding in Goldbrick House - Albert Palmer

 Laura and Ben’s black tie wedding in Goldbrick house was a very classy affair. Right in the centre of Bristol, the family got ready at the Marriott hotel. It was great to see everyone getting ready and it also gave me a chance to slip between all of the rooms and photograph the anticipation in the Bridal suite and guys pulling on socks in the other! It was a lovely atmosphere, lots of banter, nervousness and plenty of excitement.





Laura wore a beautiful, classic Nicola Anne England wedding gown complete with Rachel Simpson shoes. I found it really amusing how Laura’s serious preparation kept being interrupted by surprise romantic gifts from Ben. Firstly his brother bought in two dozen red roses. Next up, some cool Lego wedding mementoes and finally some beautiful diamond earrings.


It was great to see Laura’s hair and makeup artist Kate Kelvin again. I’ve seen her a lot this year and I think she does the most incredible Job. Philippa Spearing bought along the blue, pink and white wedding bouquets and button holes for the bridal party. Understated but beautiful. Ben hired his wedding tux from Moss Bros. As a dude I love the black tie look. If my own wedding hadn’t been out a summer garden wedding I would have worn it too. Everyone looked effortlessly amazing.


We then headed off to Goldbrick House on Bristol’s Park Street for the wedding ceremony and reception. It was great to see them both tie the knot and after a few celebratory drinks and canapés on the roof terrace of Goldbrick House we headed off, through the streets of Bristol to Brandon Hill for some photos. Bristol is great for wedding portraits. You can mix it up by using the cool backdrops of long streets, the graffiti as well as the pretty parks. We headed back just in time to see everyone seated for the wedding breakfast and then the speeches began. Whilst my view was quite restricted I managed to capture quite a few tears as Laura’s father gave one the most sentimental speech I’ve ever heard. It was a tough act to follow but Ben and his best man did not disappoint with some of the most outrageous anecdotes I’ve ever heard.

La Cabane Beach Club Wedding - Albert Palmer

 My first La Cabane Beach Club wedding and it was a scorcher! Megan and Gary decided on a wedding in Marbella because it’s a place they spend a lot of time. It’s a really beautiful part of Spain and the travel happily coincided with my Mas Torroella wedding photography in the North of Spain. The day started out at the 5 star Hotel Los Monteros where Megan and Gary both got ready. Megan wore a Kate Fearnley veil. The ceremony was held at Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación. It is a church like no other I have visited! Whilst the architecture inspires a serious atmosphere the priest was extremely friendly and welcoming. There were plenty of laughs during the ceremony and it was great to photograph. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the ceremony although I shouldn’t have worried as it followed a pretty traditional catholic mass.

Yorebridge House Wedding Photography - Albert Palmer

Gemma and Ricky recommended me to Amy & Phil after their wedding at Casa Cornacchi. I had a blinding drive up to North Yorkshire with amazing views. I love visiting new wedding venues and exploring new areas. Yorebridge House wedding photography was made all the more easier by incredible views and epic weather. It’s such a beautiful part of the world and I had blast! They got married at Askrigg Church. The children of the village stuck to tradition and tied the church gates closed. The traditions that the bride and groom have to pay the children sweets to untie the gates. I don’t see this at enough weddings although I guess you need a village of children who are free on a Saturday to make it work! Guests then travelled from the church to Yorebridge House on a big London double decker bus.
