 One of the good things to come from a quiet time of year is that I finally have time to catch up on my blogging! Today we’re heading back to Jacky & David’s wedding. They got married at St Mary’s Church before heading on to Southend Barns wedding venue. They lucked out with a beautiful day in August which ended with the prettiest of sunsets. It was my first time at Southend Barns although Jacky and Dave found me through a recommendation from this wedding at Upwaltham Barns. Not only did they have a fab Cadillac wedding car their little dog attended the wedding ceremony. Looking at these wedding photos now quickly brings back all the memories of the day. The guys smoking cigars, playing law games, eating amazing food (and cake!) Whilst ‘at work’ I’m always trying to find unique wedding photos and I struck gold! Caroline and Duncan’s wedding in Kings College Chapel Cambridge was incredible. I have so many great memories from such an amazing day. Kings College Chapel is visually spectacular! I travelled up a few weeks ago to photograph Caroline and Duncan’s wedding on a hot July day. After photos with the guys in the morning I headed to meet Caroline at The Hilton. If you’re wondering she wore a Justin Alexander gown and Jimmy Choo shoes. Halfway through the beautifying process with Jimmy Bilton at Toni & Guy, flowers arrived from Mulberry Flowers. Kings College was in walking distance from the Hotel so I hot footed it through the busy streets and entered the quietness of the ceremony venue. It’s hard not to be incredibly impressed by the scale of Kings College. It’s on another level and made an incredible venue for the intimate ceremony.

 I’ve been to Surrey quite a few times in the last month. You’ve seen the Northbrook Park wedding – now check out Louisa and Jeremy’s big day. I shot Tom and Jennifer’s wedding . They were there. I also shot Amy and Carlo’s wedding. They were there too. As Jeremy and Louisa live down-under I wasn’t too sure what to expect but I knew (based on their friends weddings) that it would really be a lot of fun. I’m not going to talk too much about their day (hopefully the photos will do that) – but I’m really happy to be adding them to the website – quite a few will make it to my wedding portfolio – I’m really quite pleased with them. They got married just outside of Bath and it was happiest of wedding days and quite a bit sunnier than their couple shoot. Whilst Clifton always tends to look lovely in sun or cloud we managed to dodge some rain showers and find some new spots I’ve not been to before. As well as some old favourites. It was great to see quite a few of these photographs at Jenna and Dan’s wedding. They had printed them out and displayed them in the guest book. Nothing makes me happier than to see the photos printed. It doesn’t have to be on fancy paper, or be of a great quality (although kudos if they are!)  My first La Cabane Beach Club wedding and it was a scorcher! Megan and Gary decided on a wedding in Marbella because it’s a place they spend a lot of time. It’s a really beautiful part of Spain and the travel happily coincided with my Mas Torroella wedding photography in the North of Spain. The day started out at the 5 star Hotel Los Monteros where Megan and Gary both got ready. Megan wore a Kate Fearnley veil. The ceremony was held at Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación. It is a church like no other I have visited! Whilst the architecture inspires a serious atmosphere the priest was extremely friendly and welcoming. There were plenty of laughs during the ceremony and it was great to photograph. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the ceremony although I shouldn’t have worried as it followed a pretty traditional catholic mass.

 Wowee! Seb and Shabs are on the blog today. I did their Northbrook Park wedding photography and after their engagement shoot and Mendhi I had been impatiently waiting for their wedding day. I kept everything crossed for good weather and it paid off! It must have been one of the hottest days of the year – and it was day of moment after moment of photo opportunities. I’m not going to ramble on too much, the photos will do all the talking! But suffice to say, if you dedicate the drinks reception to great food and ‘sports day’ in the gardens – count me in as your wedding photographer! It was a blast. I’ve been lucky enough to visit Surrey five times in the last month. If you’re looking for a great wedding venue then do check out Northbrook Park. It’s a gem!

 Not my first time as a Coombe Lodge wedding photographer, it was great to return to this beautiful wedding venue. Just 20 minutes from my front door I know it pretty well now and love it particularly for it’s outdoor wedding ceremonies. Sarah and Will’s wedding was a particularly memorable wedding from last year. Partly because they bought along their cute little dog who had a great time and almost stole the show! I got to work with many of my favourite local Bristol vendors, namely Kirsten from The Little Wedding Helper and The Rose Shed florist. Cakes by Samantha baked a beauty of a cake and the Sarah’s (memorably) stunning gown was from Carina Baverstock. Will’s suit hire was from Jack Bunney.
