London is full of amazing pre-wedding locations. I suggest people all over the globe choose this city to get fantastic pre-wedding pictures. Pauls Cathedral, Paternoster Sq, Embankment Big Ben, Millennium Bridge, Shoreditch, Regents Park, Primrose Hill, Hyde Park & the Rose Garden and King’s Road. If you are also Googling “wedding photo location near me”, these spots are the ideal options.

Family photography Bristol - Albert Palmer

My family photography style is just like my style for weddings – natural, fun and colourful. Being a dad myself I know how quickly little ones grow up and so family photos are priceless. I’ve had several family shoots myself and they mean the world to me. My photos are printed out large and hung on the walls. It’s the facial facial expressions and the unique characteristics that make them them. So I’ve found the best way to take photos is to let the little ones roam free outside where they can explore and have fun. Whether it’s splashing in muddy puddles, kicking a ball or riding bikes the more fun they have the better. No fake smiles or unnatural poses, I promise.  I photograph families far and wide but living in Bristol we have plenty of great locations. The number one spot is Ashton Court. With woods, hills, horizons, deer, gardens and a colourful mansion house gardens there is PLENTY of variety. Westonbirt arboretum is also popular, especially in autumn. Amazing pathways...

Mas Torroella Wedding - Albert Palmer

I was thrilled to get a booking from Alex and Kim. I’d met them whilst photographing Alex’s sister’s amazing wedding in Italy. I remembered them from the day and they obviously liked my San Galgano wedding photos (cheeky plug (but another incredible wedding!)) I love a destination wedding, whilst it’s a little more work and worry you can’t beat getting married outside in the sunshine. Everyone has a holiday vibe and the evening parties are often pretty wild. The Mas Torroella wedding venue is beautiful villa and only a two hour drive from Barcelona airport. I do remember it being hot (unsurprisingly!) but with a little wind so it was a really nice climate. Alex looked the business with his white blazer and Kim looked incredible in her wedding gown. My favourite three things about their Mas Torroella wedding start with… the fact that everyone jumped in to the pool at 1am. The photo above has to be one of my favourites from 2019 – and possibly of all my time doing wedding photograph...

Shahr Peter Shoreditch Engagement-Shoot

Towards the end of last year, when the days got shorter and colder I headed to Shoreditch to meet Shahr and Peter. We headed out in to the crowded streets. Wondered around food stores and antique markets. Saw some pretty epic graffiti to rival that in Bristol. We headed back to their flat and had some coffee. Peter and Shahr changed outfits and we headed out to Hampstead Heath. Their pooch had lots of fun in the wet grass and we walked to the top of the hill, just in time to see the sun set. It was a pretty cool day. Here are a few of my favourite photographs and you can see more London engagement shoots at the link. If you’d like to see a few of my other pre wedding London locations do check out this link. Visit us at:- https://albertpalmerphotography.com/shahr-peter-shoreditch-engagement-shoot/

Yorebridge House Wedding Photography - Albert Palmer

Gemma and Ricky recommended me to Amy & Phil after their wedding at Casa Cornacchi. I had a blinding drive up to North Yorkshire with amazing views. I love visiting new wedding venues and exploring new areas. Yorebridge House wedding photography was made all the more easier by incredible views and epic weather. It’s such a beautiful part of the world and I had blast! They got married at Askrigg Church. The children of the village stuck to tradition and tied the church gates closed. The traditions that the bride and groom have to pay the children sweets to untie the gates. I don’t see this at enough weddings although I guess you need a village of children who are free on a Saturday to make it work! Guests then travelled from the church to Yorebridge House on a big London double decker bus. They chose they venue because they love the outdoors of North Yorkshire and it is close to where Amy grew up. We had an incredible time and I remember the speeches which were epic! A massive than...

MC Motors Wedding Photographer - Albert Palmer

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be Alessia and Chris’s MC Motors wedding photographer It was such a fun wedding day. My favourite moment of the day was at about 10pm when a stack of hot pizza arrived for everyone to feast on. Or… it might have been the tasty chicken and chips we had earlier? Or maybe even the wedding donuts and stack of cake? All I know was that I had a blast. I love London weddings. All that I’ve been to have been beautifully unconventional and incredibly personal. It was a pretty special day! I also got to catch up with three other couples whose wedding I’ve photographed. For a change I’ve tried to reduce the amount of photographs in this blog post. Just to try and tell a more concise story. Alessia wore a stunning BHLDN wedding gown and Valentino shoes complete with leather jacket and classic sun glasses. Do do picture her, age 90, looking back at these photos and people telling her how cool she is. The Flower Appreciation Society did a beautiful job wit...

Farnham Castle Wedding Photography - Albert Palmer Photography

I was thrilled when Hannah and Ed booked me for their Farnham Castle wedding . As they live in Australia we had Skyped before the big day. It was great to get to know them and they both seemed like a lot of fun. Originally born in the UK they were coming back to Farnham Castle to tie the knot. This was my first wedding at Farnham Castle which is an exclusive wedding venue. Whilst I had seen photos of it online it was great to see the 900 year old building in person. With an amazing view over Farnham and lovely grounds it is a hidden gem. The bit I liked most about the castle was it’s open air area for the meal out on the grass. Fortunately we had the most amazing heat wave so things worked out perfectly for us (and I’m pretty sure there was a contingency plan should it have rained!) After the ceremony everyone headed outside on to the Great Lawn for drinks and canapes. It was such a hot day everyone was sipping iced drinks in the shade. After the speeches there were special cockt...

Hampton Court House Wedding Photographer - Albert Palmer Photography

When Hannah and Nello asked me to photograph their wedding at Hampton Court House I did a celebratory dance in my office. I may also have punched the air because I’ve always wanted to photograph a wedding at this beautiful venue. Being a Hampton Court House wedding photographer has been on my ‘hit list’ for a few years now. It’s a beautiful building with gorgeous light in the ceremony room. A Bristol wedding photographers dream and they made sure it was a really memorable day. Their wedding was a little bit different for all sorts of reasons. To start, Nello is from Skyros so his family were visiting and there were lots of Greek references throughout the day. The wedding favours were olive oil. Made from olives Hannah and her father picked in Greece last year. The wedding breakfast was catered for by their friend Ben. A charming guy who prepared a 7 course meal, written and inspired by greek food and their favourite flavours and ingredients. They had a “cheese cake” put together ...

Autumn Wedding at North Cadbury Court - Albert Palmer

Today I’m going back in time to celebrate Anita and Tom’s autumn wedding at North Cadbury Court. I’m thankful I get to visit lots of amazing venues all over the country but I wouldn’t complain if I went to North Cadbury Court every weekend! It really is that nice and I’m thrilled to be a recommended supplier doing North Cadbury Court wedding photography . Autumn is my favourite time of year. The colours, the weather, the temperature – it all came together for their wedding day. The wedding ceremony was inside North Cadbury Court house. Then everyone headed outside to enjoy the sunshine, drinks and nibbles and to celebrate the couple. In the evening Anita got changed in to a red and gold sari for the first dance. As you can see they had an amazing party with some very colourful dance moves. I love a good party and everyone at their wedding had a ball on the dance floor. EELI & MAN KUAN | COUNTRY ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS UK

I really love Asian pre wedding photography engagement shoots . I could quite happily photograph these couples three times a week. And then still have energy for more. When I get an enquiry my heart rate rises with the anticipation of an amazing day out. The UK has such diversity that it makes for amazing country engagement photos. Forests, rivers, lakes, fields and hills. Whilst I’ve visited cities like London and Stratford country engagement photos are all about the romanticism. It was great to head to the countryside with Eeli and Man Kuan and take full advantage of UK spring time. With blossoms, flowers and beautiful light we made photographic magic happen. If you’re interested in more countryside asian pre wedding shoots check out this one north of London and this one near Southampton. A huge thank you to these two for being all round fun people. Wishing you the very best for your wedding later this year back in Singapore. https://albertpalmerphotography.com/eeli-man-kuan-c...

Villa Miani Wedding - Albert Palmer

With Autumn in full swing I always like to remind myself of long warm summer nights. Souraya and Alan’s Villa Miani Wedding is the perfect choice! The magnificent historic house overlooks the ancient city of Rome and is surrounded by lush green gardens that slope down towards a dramatic terrace. The perfect choice for a sunset wedding ceremony. Check out those views! Souraya and Alan were joined by family and friends from across the globe. The vibe was incredibly relaxed but also with a middle eastern flair. Souraya looked stunning! Classic elegance, but really natural. After the beautiful ceremony at Villa Miani I had lots of time to take some fantastic photographs in the grounds. It was a lot of fun! Plus the light was gorgeous and made for such a romantic setting. Some of my favourite shots of the day and you can’t beat that light in Italy. Then the 250 guests were treated to some delicious Italian cuisine. When the sun set Villa Miani was transformed again. This time lit up with hu...

Nonsuch Mansion Wedding Photography - Albert Palmer

My first time doing Nonsuch Mansion wedding photography for Caro and Ed’s wedding in Surrey. Although it was on the verge of winter becoming springtime Nonsuch Mansion looked beautiful. The icing on the cake was a little ray of sunshine after the speeches which meant a few couple photos in golden hour. A huge thank you to Ed and Caro for making me feel so welcome on the day. I’ve photographed a few of their friends weddings and they are such a fun group to be around. It’s infectious and makes for some epic wedding photography. It was great to work alongside wedding videographer Rupert again and also have help from Jamie my regular second photographer. I think my favourite moment of the day was the dancing. I know there are much more poignant and significant times during a wedding day but the dance floor was mad! My second favourite time was right after the confetti when everyone came outside (in March!) to celebrate with drinks and canapés. When I look at the images they take me ...

Peckforton Castle Wedding Photographer

What I most remember about Aimee and Ian’s wedding at Peckforton Castle is the mad dance floor antics. Specifically Tina Turner and Rolling on A River! It was a great way to finish off the wedding day and summed up the day. It was SO much fun. Ian is the kind of guy who is up for anything and throws himself at any task wearing a smile. After the ceremony, photos, and speeches he hit the dance floor hard! At one point he picked up Aimee and twirled her around which made for some epic wedding photos. Aimee was charming and looked so beautiful in her dress from Love Bridal Boutique. Especially as she walked down the aisle. I think they are some of my favourite photos from the day. I really wasn’t sure what she’d wear but her dress suited her perfectly and also the venue Peckforton Castle. The guys got their suits from Special Day and Appletons which worked well against the formal backdrop. The wedding rings were from Philip James Jewellery in Bath. I don’t know whose idea it was to hire ...

Chateau Roquelune Wedding Photography - Albert Palmer

My first time doing   Chateau Roquelune wedding photography   I had been waiting ages for Shaun and Lucy’s wedding. It was my first wedding in France although I do quite a few   destination weddings   each year. I used to live in France for a few years (woohoo!) and so it was great to tick this wedding off of my bucket list. Friends of Beth & Tom (from this  San Galgano wedding ) I knew Shaun and Lucy’s wedding would be equally as crazy to photograph and I wasn’t wrong. Chateau Roquelune made an incredible backdrop and it was difficult to stop taking photos of it! I’ve not been to a wedding venue like it!Close to Pézenas in Southern France it was also my first trip to that part of the world. I could easily retire there… What were my top three moments of the day? Spirited wedding guests popping bottles on the dance floor. This is something I’ve been waiting for as a wedding photographer for a very long time! Finally it happened. Lucy and Shaun’s outdoor weddi...
