Hyde Barn photography - Albert Palmer

I’m really lucky to do Hyde Barn photography every year — it’s a really cool little venue in the Cotswolds. Lucy and Gareth’s wedding was one to remember. Their hard work with amazing styling detail really paid off and the beautiful light we had was the icing on the cake. I met these two a few months before the wedding for an engagement shoot and it was great to get to know them a little better before the big day. I was ultra enthusiastic because I love outdoor weddings. I remember feeling pretty nervous about the weather as it can go any way in June! Luckily it seems that keeping everything crossed worked and it was sunny for their outdoor ceremony. Please scroll on down to see my favourites form the day (and Lucy’s amazing dress!) Manor By The Lake Wedding Photography - Albert Palmer

This post has been a long time coming but I’m happy to share some Manor By The Lake wedding photography with you from Emma and Nathan’s wedding. They got married in the spring so it was great to see the blossom was out! Along with friends and family they had their super cute children with them for the day. They obviously made it in to quite a few of the wedding photos, because, as you’ll know although weddings are mainly about the bride and groom family is so so important. Getting to know them as a family before the day was really nice. They had an engagement shoot which turned in to a bit of a family shoot. I’m proud to say that they liked the photos so much that Emma bought her sister and her family a shoot too! I don’t do too many family shoots but I really enjoy them, and especially ahead of the wedding it’s great to hang out and find out what is important to people before the wedding day. Every wedding is different and a big part of my job is figuring out what is meaningful t...

Hamswell House Wedding - Albert Palmer

Whilst I am a Bristol wedding photographer it’s rare I get to cover weddings in Bristol. So Sinead and Ed’s Hamswell House wedding near Bath was one of the most memorable of the summer. The ceremony was held at St Luke’s Church a short walk away from my house. A little shout out to Roots floral, Bristol for the beautiful blooms. After a beautiful ceremony even a few drops of rain couldn’t spoil the moment for Sinead and Ed as they excited the church to confetti and jumped in to the blue beetle wedding car. In fact the confetti shot is one of my favourite photographs of the day! Sinead and Ed chose Hamswell House wedding venue as the reception venue. It is nestled in the hills near Bath, on the border of Somerset and Gloucestershire. On a sunny August day the views were especially stunning. Guests were treated to a delicious lunch created by George Goes Out. Bath Marquees did a great job and I love the night shot on the lawn of Hamswell House which you can see at the bottom. I have bee...

Humanist Wedding in Bristol UK - Albert Palmer Photography

It was great to do another Humanist wedding in Bristol and visit a new venue in No.4 in Clifton Village . Julia and Baz kept things pretty low key with close friends and family but it was an awesome celebration to capture. With little portrait sessions in a few of my favourite spots in Bristol as well as two little ceremonies and two big chances for confetti! They also had a first look by the Clifton Suspension Bridge which was pretty special. Capturing the first look whether it’s at the cermeony or somewhere more private is always fun. Next they headed in to Bristol for the legal duties at Bristol registry office. As a Bristol wedding photographer I’m fairly used to the local registry office and we took a few photos in the centre before resuming couple photos around the fairer backdrop of Clifton. We then headed to No.4 for their humanist ceremony with Tim Leyshon who did an amazing job. I always enjoy a humanist ceremony. Sure, the legal paperwork needs to be completed elsewher...
