Hamswell House Wedding - Albert Palmer

Whilst I am a Bristol wedding photographer it’s rare I get to cover weddings in Bristol. So Sinead and Ed’s Hamswell House wedding near Bath was one of the most memorable of the summer. The ceremony was held at St Luke’s Church a short walk away from my house. A little shout out to Roots floral, Bristol for the beautiful blooms. After a beautiful ceremony even a few drops of rain couldn’t spoil the moment for Sinead and Ed as they excited the church to confetti and jumped in to the blue beetle wedding car. In fact the confetti shot is one of my favourite photographs of the day!

Sinead and Ed chose Hamswell House wedding venue as the reception venue. It is nestled in the hills near Bath, on the border of Somerset and Gloucestershire. On a sunny August day the views were especially stunning. Guests were treated to a delicious lunch created by George Goes Out. Bath Marquees did a great job and I love the night shot on the lawn of Hamswell House which you can see at the bottom.

I have been to Hamswell house once before although it was some time ago. Non the less I was familiar with the lay of the land and if you want to see more from another wedding then they got married at Barrow Gurney Church. Warning – it was taken some 8 years ago so it’s a little different!

Anyway, thank you so much Sinead and Ed. You were so super fun to work with and the big smiles you wore all day made my job pretty easy.

Family photography Bristol - Albert Palmer

 My family photography style is just like my style for weddings – natural, fun and colourful. Being a dad myself I know how quickly little ones grow up and so family photos are priceless. I’ve had several family shoots myself and they mean the world to me. My photos are printed out large and hung on the walls. It’s the facial facial expressions and the unique characteristics that make them them. So I’ve found the best way to take photos is to let the little ones roam free outside where they can explore and have fun. Whether it’s splashing in muddy puddles, kicking a ball or riding bikes the more fun they have the better.
