Oxford Pre Wedding Shoot - Albert Palmer

I do pre wedding shoots all over the UK, and one of the most popular cities is Oxford. Many former students return as it’s a place that they met their partner. Renee & Jirah were amazing to work with and took me to a few of their favourite spots in Oxford.




The River and boat club. It’s a short walk from Kings College, through a green grassy area. There are often cows in the field which are a pretty entertaining feature in the background! Once you reach the river bank there are lots of spots which make a change from the Oxford architecture.

I really like the Radcliffe camera and I visit it on every pre wedding shoot. Although it’s a busy spot getting there early, or waiting for the perfect moment always pays off.

The bikes are a major feature of Oxford so I often try and include these in the photos. It’s kind of like the red busses and black cabs in London – they are always in the background somewhere!

I also love the look of the Clarendon Building right in the centre of Oxford. Probably not used that much for pre wedding shoots but it’s a favourite of mine. The main steps and columns make for great features and the lighter stone reflects the light in a really complimentary way.

I love the street scenes in Oxford too. It’s a really charming city with an incredibly interesting history and the architecture has so much character. The bridge of signs and bodleian library are also great spots!

Family photography Bristol - Albert Palmer

 My family photography style is just like my style for weddings – natural, fun and colourful. Being a dad myself I know how quickly little ones grow up and so family photos are priceless. I’ve had several family shoots myself and they mean the world to me. My photos are printed out large and hung on the walls. It’s the facial facial expressions and the unique characteristics that make them them. So I’ve found the best way to take photos is to let the little ones roam free outside where they can explore and have fun. Whether it’s splashing in muddy puddles, kicking a ball or riding bikes the more fun they have the better. No fake smiles or unnatural poses, I promise.  I photograph families far and wide but living in Bristol we have plenty of great locations. The number one spot is Ashton Court.
