Countryside Pre Wedding Shoot - Albert Palmer Photography

Heading in to the summer of 2021 I had a great countryside pre wedding shoot with Anisha & Ravi. They had planned to go to Turkey for a hot air balloon shoot. You know. The one where loads of balloons all take off at once and it looks incredible?! A bit like a postcard? Well, due to a few travel restrictions they ended up meeting me one cloudy afternoon in the Cotswolds. They were a super nice couple and the pleasure was all mine. Despite the cloudy start things changed up and we were treated to an amazing sunset. We visited a few different spots around the countryside and chanced upon some amazing fields filled with yellow flowers and corn. It is great to be back doing pre wedding shoots, I’ve been to London a few times as well as the Cotswolds. I can’t wait to share these photos, and if you’re turned in to my instagram you may well have seen a few of these photos already. In fact I’m going to upload a few more right now! If you’d like to see a few more pre wedding shoots do visi...

Huntsham Court Wedding Photography - Albert Palmer Photography

I’m so sorry it’s been so long since I last blogged. In fairness, if you follow me on instagram you will already have seen a few beautiful photos from Tara and Tim’s wedding at Huntsham Court. Although I am a   Bristol wedding photographer   it was only a short trip down to Devon to my first ‘large’ weddings of 2021 (whoop!) They had 59 guests, most of whom stayed for the weekend. Since they booked Tara and Tim had a super cute baby – who stayed awake for most of the day to enjoy all of the fun. A few shout outs to Love Spell Design who made Tara’s incredible dress. But that’s not to forget Tim’s epic suit – can’t beat a light blue! Wedding rings by @samhamdesign, pretty flowers from @earthgalleryflowers and yum food from @mulberry_catering_company. It was my second time photographing a wedding at Huntsham Court. It is a beautiful wedding venue inside and out, especially in the summer. The ceremony room has panelled wooden walls. These tend to absorb the light ...

Best Wedding Photographer In The South West 2022

This post is a little thank you to all of the amazing couples who wed in 2021. It was a genuine joy to be a part of each of your weddings and without you I wouldn’t be doing something I love. High fives for voting for me in the wedding industry awards. I only went and won it for the 4th time! This might be old news if you follow me on  The Gram  and if you’re interested here are my posts for the previous years in  2017 ,  2019  and  2021 . This was honestly a huge surprise for me, I didn’t think I’d win because there was a huge amount of talent in the area. I tend not to enter photography awards (it gets expensive!) but  TWIA  does peak my interest. It’s the feedback from couples which is so valuable to me. It doesn’t depend on a single image, but rather the overall quality of your work and crucially customer service over the course of the year. That’s what sets it apart and receiving the feedback is well worth the price of entry for me. Also, the...

Yorebridge House Wedding Photography

Gemma and Ricky recommended me to Amy & Phil after their wedding at   Casa Cornacchi.  I had a blinding drive up to North Yorkshire with amazing views. I love visiting new wedding venues and exploring new areas.  Yorebridge House  wedding photography was made all the more easier by incredible views and epic weather. It’s such a beautiful part of the world and I had blast! They got married at Askrigg Church. The children of the village stuck to tradition and tied the church gates closed. The traditions that the bride and groom have to pay the children sweets to untie the gates. I don’t see this at enough weddings although I guess you need a village of children who are free on a Saturday to make it work! Guests then travelled from the church to Yorebridge House on a big London double decker bus. They chose they venue because they love the outdoors of North Yorkshire and it is close to where Amy grew up. We had an incredible time and I remember the speeches w...
